TEENS & ADULTS TAEKWONDO
Teens and Adults Taekwondo Program
Train with Purpose. Build Strength, Skill, and Confidence Through Structured Performance-Based Training
A Structured Approach to Performance, Fitness, and Skill Development for All Levels
The US Taekwondo Institute Teens and Adults Program is designed for teens ages 12 and up and adults of all experience levels. Whether you are just getting started or returning to training, our program provides a structured path to develop skill, improve fitness, and build confidence.
Training is designed to challenge both the body and mind, helping students improve overall health while developing discipline, focus, and resilience that carry over into everyday life.
Training Approach
Our program follows a structured and progressive approach to training. Each class is part of a larger plan designed to improve performance over time, rather than focusing on random or isolated activities.
Depending on the training cycle, classes may emphasize:
- Power development
- Speed and reaction
- Technical refinement
- Timing, distance, and strategy
This approach allows students to continuously improve while staying engaged and avoiding plateaus. It also reflects how athletes are developed over time, while remaining accessible to beginners.
Curriculum
The US Taekwondo Institute Teens and Adults Program includes both traditional (Kukkiwon) and Olympic style (WT) Taekwondo training.
Students begin by learning the fundamentals, including basic stances, movement, blocks, and kicks, along with their first forms. Emphasis is placed on proper technique, control, and consistency.
As students progress, training becomes more advanced and performance focused. Students are introduced to:
- Advanced kicking combinations
- Forms based on belt level
- Sparring techniques and strategy
- Reaction and timing drills
- Conditioning specific to Taekwondo performance
Each belt level requires demonstrated proficiency in techniques and forms, ensuring that progress is earned and skills are properly developed.
Class Structure and Training
Classes are designed to provide a balance of group instruction and individual feedback. Multiple black belt instructors are present to ensure students receive proper guidance and correction throughout training.
Sparring is introduced in a controlled and progressive manner, with a strong emphasis on safety, proper technique, and strategy. Students receive real time feedback to help them better understand and apply concepts during training.
